Success

Well done to both Sam and Frieda who competed in the combined training event held in Gurteen Agricultural College last Sunday - they both came away with the red ribbons! Sam was riding Merrylegs daughter of his previous eventing mare Akalina who he was very successful with, and Frieda was riding Killamanjaro, better known as Killy - as you can surmise from his name he is not exactly a midget, and becoming a very striking looking animal. Orla Carroll was also placed riding her mare Natal with whom she has been working hard so congrats to all.
The painting workshop was also on this past weekend in Annahavey Farm - Harrie McManus was our usual tutor and all enjoyed the 2 days with wonderful works of art being produced - many of those at the workshop have been coming for a good few years now and the standard of work being produced is improving all the time - this of course was interupted somewhat when the Ireland -France rugby match came on and in particular when Tommy Bowe scored his first try - he has quite a fan club in the female painting fraternity!
Next weekend we look forward to the first Hunter Trials of the season so we are busy getting ready for that, and keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will oblige & remain dry.
