Offaly Pony Club Horse Trials

In spite of all the rough weather on the lead up to the Offaly Pony Club horse trials the day ran very well with over 150 entries.

The dressage stared n time in all four arenas. The show jumping kicked off with the Open riders going first with only three of the eight riders going clear over the poles. The intermediates got on better with just about 50% going clear.

The cross-country was under way at 1.30pm with the Open. Only 2 combinations went clear inside the time who were Alex Power from the Kildare PC to land the class and Camilla Driver to come second. The Intermediates fared better on the cross-country with more than half finishing the cross-country without penalties. Lydia Dawson was the outright winner finishing on her dressage score of 28.4 pen.
