A great day was had by all yesterday March 10th in Annaharvey Farm with the first Hunter Trials of the season kicking off – run by the Westmeath Hunt and hosted by Annaharvey all went well despite the threat of weather breaking – it was a seriously cold day as many of the stewards will confirm, but the ground held up well, and the rain held off.
Today is a different matter entirely – snow blizzards all day swirling around the house and yard, and staff huddled into all their wet gear and looking for inside jobs!!
Next Monday we have another Hunter Trials scheduled with plans being put in place for a change of coarse and keeping our fingers crossed that we won’t be snowed in – but then it’s St Patrick’s weekend and we can expect any kind of weather!
Many thanks to all the helpers yesterday & to all the competitors – we appreciate your support and look forward to seeing some or all of you again.
