What's Cookin in Annaharvey!

Well there's a lot Cookin in Annaharvey this week as we are taking part in the Taste of Offaly on Sunday next in the Court Hotel - this is an opportunity to showcase what we do out here from the jams and chutneys to the horse riding, guesthouse, and events.
The aroma as you come into the house is wonderful, fresh cookies, cakes & breads are being got ready, and we are making up small presents for Mother's Day, St. Patrick's Day & of course Easter, which is just around the corner.
There's lots going on outside as well - the lads are busy finishing off new all weather paddocks for the livery horses - a great advantage when the weather is wet & everywhere mucky. Henry is ploughing for spring sowing - not too arduous a task in his new tractor!
We have some new Special Offers up on our web site for short breaks which are good value, and we are looking forward to a busy season.

Annaharvey Farm Shortbread recipe:
500g plain flour
250g icing sugar
250g cornflour
500g melted butter

mix all dry ingredients together & add melted butter mix well & flatten out into a baking tray or roll out & cut into circles - bake for 20 mins in med oven - really scrummy!
